Home

So good to be home again, we completed our six weeks at Calvary Baptist Church in Meadow Bridge, West Virginia this past Sunday. It is good to be home with so much catching up that I do not know where to begin, guess today will be spent going through the mail as the post office was closed yesterday which would have been a good day with all the rain. Don't know how much we had but the gauge was running over from the previous two weeks. A special thanks goes out to George Deloache who watched over our place and watered our plants and flowers while we were away and to Terry Timmerman who came over and cut the grass.

It's amazing how you can fall in love with a group of people, but that's what we did at Calvary, though small in number they were a wonderful group of God's people. One couldn't ask for a sweeter spirit in such a short amount of time. It was difficult saying good bye to our new friends and we hope to see them again real soon. I want those of you who read this blog to pray that God would send them a pastor very soon, all they need is someone to love and care for them in a very special way. I know that God is going to do a good work in them.

Oh, we just had to stop by Charlotte on our way back to see the little grandson, Walker. We met our daughter Hope and Walker at the Cracker Barrel across from Carowinds for dinner. I kept putting Jelly on his biscuit and he would eat the jelly off the biscuit and hold it out for me to put more jelly on it. It's always sad to leave my little buddy, that's what I call him, "Poppa's Little Buddy."

Now is not the time to sit around, believe it or not it's time to get those Christmas decorations out and get them working. It's takes along time to get them up, but I always have those who are willing to give me a helping hand. Its the joy of the smiles and sounds of the children that make it worth it all. I hope that during the Christmas Season that you will find time to take a drive through.

May God bless each of you and give you a wonderful day.
