Yes, we're on the road again, but in a different way. Sunday we traveled back to Aiken, South Carolina to see out many friends at Couchton Baptist Church and preach for their fifty second home coming. What a joy to see so many of our friends where we served for seven years.
We were also blessed by the singing of the Centurions from Greenwood, South Carolina whom I have know for over thirty years, Ron told me that they have been singing for thirty eight years. And the praise band from Couchton were a blessing, they were three and four years old when I went there, I watched them grow up but they never showed me the talent that I witnessed. A great well done has to be given to each of them. I might add that some of you will remember one, Matt Campbell, Matt preached at Philippi while I was pastor. I got to tell you, God has been so good to me over the years to have known and pastored so many fine and wonderful people.
The meal was great, Mr. Ted's famous Cabbage Stew, if you've never had it you don't know what you're missing. (Mike Campbell send me the recipe in the mail today) Mrs. Boothe's big dried Butter Beans, Aunt Puddings rutabages, on, and on I could go, but I can't take many of meals like that.
Afterward's we visited several of those who are shuts in before we headed home. What a wonderful day we had.
